Jill Graham started Queen City Mahjong in 2021 after she and her friends taught themselves how to play by pouring over books and blogs. Because teachers were scarce, she knew she had to share her knowledge of the game and the community of amazing Mahjong ladies (and men!). She has filled over 2,000 Mahjong lesson seats since then.
The Queen City Mahjong League began in 2024 which is a ladder-style league in which teams compete each week. The league has fall, spring and summer seasons.
She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and formerly a CPA and was raised in Charlotte area. Jill teaches private lessons in Charlotte and also travels to teach, and she teaches group lessons at the Junior League of Charlotte building with the help of 7 other instructors.
